we spent our last day in bombay on elephanta island. no further than an hour boat ride from the city, it's famous for its stone temples, which turned out to be closed on mondays.

we decided to go anyway - probably a wrong decision assuming that there's not much to do on the island, and monkeys don't let you move around too much. they bit the finger of a dutch tourist walking in front of us and then stole my bottle of limca standing on the table.
